We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to support site preparation, trenching, and earthmoving tasks. You'll work alongside a dedicated team on projects that make a real impact in our community.
Responsibilities
- Be prepared for overnight travel to job sites within a 1.5-hour radius
- Travel is required and will be paid for by employer
- This is is Full Time "SEASONAL" work (March - Dec)
- Operate excavators and other equipment for excavation, grading, and site preparation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and project specifications to ensure accuracy.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of machinery to ensure safe operation.
- Assist with other site tasks, including concrete work and general labor when necessary.
- Collaborate with supervisors, site managers, and team members to meet project deadlines.
- Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and municipal guidelines.
- Be prepared for occasional overnight travel to job sites within a 1.5-hour radius.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Excavator and Skidsteer operator.
- Valid heavy equipment operator certification or equivalent training.
- Strong knowledge of excavation techniques, trenching, and site preparation.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Comfortable with physical labor and assisting with tasks beyond machine operation.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing site needs.
- English fluency required for effective communication with team members.
