As a Working Supervisor, you will be the backbone of our on-site operations, leading and working alongside your crew to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards. This is a working leadership role, meaning you won't just be overseeing, you'll be actively involved in every aspect of construction, from excavation to concrete finishing.
Key Responsibilities
- Be prepared for overnight travel to job sites within a 1.5-hour radius
- Travel is required and will be paid for by employer
- This is is Full Time "SEASONAL" work (March - Dec)
- Oversee day-to-day operations, coordinate tasks, and ensure crews work efficiently and safely.
- Operate machinery, and assist with excavation, concrete work, and other site tasks as needed.
- Direct laborers, equipment operators, and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule.
- Read and interpret blueprints, and ensure compliance with municipal and safety regulations.
- Monitor workmanship and materials, ensuring all work meets company and client standards.
- Address challenges in real time, making adjustments to keep projects on track.
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain a secure job site.
- Some projects require occasional overnight stays within Ontario.
What We're Looking For
- 5 or more years of experience in civil landscape construction, site supervision, or a related role.
- Ability to motivate and manage a small but skilled team.
- Willingness to work alongside the crew, this is not a desk job.
- Proficiency in operating excavation machinery, concrete finishing, and other relevant tools.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and execute plans effectively.
- Valid Driver's License and Reliable Transportation (Required).
- English proficiency is required for team coordination and safety compliance.
- Willingness to work in dynamic environments with shifting project needs.
- Ability to work legally in Canada and adhere to employment laws in Ontario.
